About Baby Massage

Baby Massage is a wonderful way to spend and enjoy time with your baby.

We all lead such hectic lifestyles these days and if you are like most parents, you are probably trying to do too many things at the same time.

There are many benefits to baby massage. In fact, the list is endless:

  • Enhances bonding

  • Relaxing for both you and your baby

  • Stimulates production of oxytocin

  • Helps you to read and understand your baby’s cues

  • Aids sleep - can become a lovely part of your bedtime routine

  • Can help give you confidence in handling your baby

  • Helps colic

  • Helps with constipation, wind, and a generally healthy digestion

  • Relieves teething discomforts

  • Improves skin conditions

  • Increases body awareness

  • Helps with cold congestion

Plus it’s fun too!

These classes are a great way to get together with your antenatal, postnatal and NCT groups.

I cover all of Surrey. Why not host a course in the comfort of your own home for a wonderfully relaxing experience? This is a great way for you to keep in touch with each other. Having the support of other parents is so valuable. I still keep in touch with my antenatal groups from 14 and 10 years ago.

Classes are run over 4 weeks. Each week you will learn how to massage a new part of your baby’s body, as well as recapping the previous weeks’ strokes. Each week lasts about 60 minutes and will be unique as your babies will be in charge of the sessions, and anything goes!

I aim for my classes to be fun, sociable, relaxed and, most importantly, interactive. At the end of each session I will leave time for you to “pick my brains” with any baby related questions. I will be able to help you with most questions/queries, but at times, I may feel you need further support/input from your health visiting team or GP, and may therefore suggest you seek their advice.
